Actors of knowledge and innovation systems (KIS) for organic aquaculture in Greece

This good practice addresses the limited availability of specialised, farm‑level guidance for fish farmers transitioning to organic production. It maps and highlights key actors within the KIS that provide technical, administrative, and training support for organic aquaculture. 

By improving farmers’ access to targeted expertise, ranging from organic production techniques and certification requirements to subsidy applications and capacity building, this approach supports informed decision‑making, reduces transition risks, and facilitates the uptake of organic aquaculture practices in line with national and EU sustainability objectives.
