CLEANTRASH (CLAIM’s Litter Entrapping Autonomous Network Tactical Recovery Accumulation System) is an innovative marine litter collection system designed to intercept and retain solid waste at river mouths before it reaches the marine environment. The system combines advanced mechanised technologies with proven marine protection and salvage solutions to efficiently contain, guide, and collect litter as small as 5mm. By preventing land‑based waste from entering the sea and degrading into microplastics, CLEANTRASH contributes to the protection of marine ecosystems and supports sustainable marine and wastewater management strategies.
