European Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) Week

Building on the success of its first edition, the MSP Week will foster exchange and cooperation across sea basins through expert meetings, project workshops and high‑level dialogues on data, maritime safety, governance and implementation, addressing the needs of multiple maritime sectors. 

Discussions on evidence‑based planning, spatial data, and cross‑sector coordination will also support the sustainable development of activities such as offshore renewable energy, fisheries and aquaculture, helping balance environmental protection with economic use of marine space. 

The 2026 edition marks a milestone by hosting the first Greater North Sea Basin Initiative (GNSBI) Stakeholder Conference, creating a unique platform to share best practices and strengthen coherent, sustainable MSP at regional and European levels.
