Community-driven Farming for the Atlantic and Arctic sea basins through REgeneRative aquaculture (C-FAARER)

Description

Short description of the project: C-FAARER is a two-year project funded by Horizon Europe aimed at supporting regenerative aquaculture practices in the Atlantic and Arctic regions by co-designing solutions with local stakeholders.

Expected results: C-FAARER will deliver a roadmap and guidance, co-designed with stakeholders, to support ocean farmers in the Atlantic and Arctic Sea basin to develop community-driven business models for regenerative ocean farming and policymakers to take enabling actions. To this end, it has already set up a community of practice to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration among stakeholders, facilitate market and funding opportunity and endorse regenerative ocean faming.

Application/relevance: The project is working to support marine innovators, entrepreneurs, and other pioneers in the Atlantic and Arctic Sea basin in transitioning towards the use of community-driven sustainable business models for regenerative ocean farming.
