Description
EURASTiP was a three-year project funded by the EU Horizon 2020, aimed at reinforcing international cooperation on sustainable aquaculture production between the EU – the largest global market in seafood – and Southeast Asia – the largest aquaculture production region in the world.
Tangible results: The project focused on building international cooperation in industry and trade between the EU and Asia through the organisation of workshops, training activities, exchange programs and brokerage events.
Application/relevance: The project provided a structured basis for multi-stakeholder dialogue in the aquaculture community, within Southeast Asia and between Southeast Asia and the EU, leaving way for the development of common solutions, as well as the harmonisation of policy, regulations and production standards in the context of rapidly expanding market demand.
