Description
This call supports research to understand and reverse the unexplained decline of common species across terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems.
Projects should identify drivers of decline, test practical recovery measures, and provide scalable solutions aligned with the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 and global biodiversity goals.
The call supports, among other activities, sustainable farming, fishing, and aquaculture, encouraging biodiversity‑friendly practices and providing aquaculture producers with tools and knowledge to operate within ecological limits.
Projects may, where relevant, address species declines that affect marine or freshwater environments important to aquaculture.
The deadline for receiving the pre-proposals is 16 April 2026 (17:00 CEST), while for the full proposals is 23 September 2026 (17:00 CEST).
