EU Aquaculture Assistance Mechanism

Funding

The EU financially supports the aquaculture sector with a wide range of funding programmes, mainly implemented through the EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) running from 2021 to 2027 and the NextGenerationEU (NGEU) recovery instrument. The ultimate goal is to foster the implementation of the Commission’s "Strategic Guidelines for a more sustainable and competitive EU aquaculture for the period 2021-2030".

This section provides an overview of EU open calls for proposals and tenders in the field of aquaculture.

To learn more about the available funding opportunities that could finance your aquaculture-related research or project, we also invite you to also explore the “Background Paper on EU Funding Opportunities available for Aquaculture” developed by the Aquaculture Assistance Mechanism.
