The European Maritime Day (EMD) is the annual event during which Europe’s maritime community meet to network, discuss and outline joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy. It provides an engaging and interactive experience to catch up on the current state of play on a broad range of issues concerning the blue economy and the marine environment and to discuss ways of moving forward. At the EMD 2025, several events will be dedicated to aquaculture and algae, among them workshops on "The role of aquaculture in the Multiuse of the Sea" or "Driving Innovation in the Blue Bioeconomy: Algae". In addtion, the European stand this year for the very first time will have an aquaculture corner.
