Description
Short description of the project: WINBIG is a three-year project funded by EMFAF aimed at making the European blue economy more gender-balanced and sustainable, with the objective of filling the knowledge gap and promoting capacity-building strategies for women.
Tangible results: WIN-BIG has developed female- and basin-tailored capacity-building initiatives to increase the participation and representation of women across EU geographies and Blue sectors and work towards a gender balanced Blue Economy. This includes the creation of the network "Mentor for future leaders", where experienced professionals guide and support emerging women leaders and entrepreneurs.
Application/Relevance: WIN-BIG is addressing the gender imbalance and capacity gaps across Blue sectors in the EU to support women joining and climbing their way up the value chain.
