All Atlantic Ocean Sustainable, Profitable, Resilient Aquacutlure (ASTRAL)

Description

Short description of the project: ASTRAL is a four-year project funded by EU Horizon 2020, aimed at developing new, sustainable, profitable and resilient value chains for Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) production within the framework of existing, emerging and potential Atlantic markets.

Tangible results: The project is expected to, among others, deliver a catalogue of "Atlantic species for the future" based on their resilience, profitability, sustainability and nutritious value, as well as IMTA production manuals and best practices to implement IMTA throughout Atlantic regions.

Application/relevance: The project research and outputs will contribute to the progress and implementation of IMTA production in the Atlantic area.
