Description
Short description of the project: MSP-GREEN is a two-year project funded by EMFAF aimed at positioning Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) as a key enabler of the European Green Deal (EDG).
Tangible results: The project has gathered 21 valuable practices showcasing MS experiences on EGD integration into existing MSP plans (including aquaculture examples), and based on national experiences, has identified 12 new actions to address gaps found in the existing MSP plans from an EGD perspective.
Application/relevance: By integrating sustainable practices into maritime spatial planning, the project contributes to the development of an environmentally sustainable, economically viable, and socially responsible aquaculture sector, contributing positively to marine ecosystems and regional economies.
