The 2nd Annual European Blue Economy Conference: How can the Blue Economy support a more sustainable and competitive Europe?

This conference will bring together a wide range of actors (from policymakers from the EU, its Member States and local government, to academics, NGOs and representatives from Blue Economy sectors), to explore the latest policies, initiatives and innovations that ensure the EU Blue Economy can support a more sustainable and competitive Europe. A dedicated session will spotlight aquaculture and fisheries sectors, highlighting their hugely important role in terms of EU competitiveness and sustainability. The session will explore the measures being taken to promote cleaner energy sources and reducing the impact on marine ecosystems and coastal communities. Participants will consider the latest policy developments and the role of all stakeholders to ensure a more sustainable aquaculture and fisheries sector.
