Studies in Support to the Implementation of the Mission: -Lot 1 – ‘Marine Biodiversity Monitoring Harmonisation’ -Lot 2 – ‘Wetlands and Blue Carbon’ CINEA/2023/OP/0005

The implementation plan of the mission requires support studies to help achieve the mission objectives. Two studies are planned: Lot 1 – Harmonisation of marine biodiversity monitoring, with the objective to identify the technical obstacles to harmonised marine biodiversity monitoring in EU marine waters and provide recommendations for its better coordination across different EU policies; Lot 2 – Wetlands and blue carbon, with the aim to identify how EU Member States currently report ‘Wetlands and Blue Carbon’ of in their greenhouse gas emissions and what steps they are taking to improve the accuracy of this reporting.
