Description
AquaWest is a technical group dedicated to promoting and accelerating sustainable aquaculture practices across the western Mediterranean region. In particular, it focuses on fostering cooperation among different countries to develop initiative solutions for economically and socially sustainable aquaculture. It addresses challenges related to the dependence on imported inputs and technologies in southern WestMed countries. It also emphasises the importance of innovation, organisation of businesses ecosystems and institutional and regulatory frameworks to support sustainable aquaculture
