Description
BlueBio is a five-and-a-half-year project funded by EU Horizon 2020, aimed at identifying the best ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market through the establishment of a coordinated R&D funding scheme to strengthen Europe’s position in the blue bioeconomy.
Tangible results: Apart from funding bio-related projects and calls, BlueBio has also developed a database comprising research projects funded at international and national level in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Seafood Processing and Marine Biotechnology, active between 2003 and 2022 (forecasted).
Application/relevance: The database facilitates the exchange and sharing of knowledge and technology resulting from research. It also helps users become aware of what has already been studied and investigated, therefore avoiding duplications with past projects or ongoing ones.
