Marifish.Inc

Short description of the project: Marifish.Inc is a two-year project financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), aimed at transforming the Ostend Fish Auction site into an incubator for startups and SMEs active in the Blue Economy.

Expected results: The main results of the project include the development of an incubator and living lab for innovative start-ups and scale-ups, relying on brand new processing units and a unique access to sufficient volumes of good-quality seawater. 

Application/relevance: Young and driven entrepreneurs can launch and grow their business  at Marifish.Inc. Furthermore, they not only get access to state-of-the-art facilities, but they also get their own business coach and can rely on a powerful network of peers, academics, corporates, and government. While at the same time, mature companies and seasoned entrepreneurs gain new energy, fresh perspectives and innovative insights.
