Description
Short description of the project: Seafood Algternative was a two-year project financed by EMFF, aimed at making plant-based seafood accessible to all consumers while ensuring a good taste, texture and nutritional profile, and to scale-up operations on the market.
Tangible results: Seafood Algternative project has developed a technology that enables to produce algae alternatives to animal proteins. These plant-based proteins are developed exclusively to client needs. Furthermore, they offer a one-stop shop for industries, large companies or entrepreneurs to co brand using the expertise and technologies of ALGAMA comany.
Application/relevance: Seafood Algternative contributes to the European Green Deal and targets a reduction of 50% of seafood carbon footprint with plant-based Algama alternatives vs animal-based carbon footprint.
