Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions on an Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production

This Action Plan (2021-2027) aims to accelerate the development of the organic sector by boosting the production and consumption of organic products. It, therefore, helps achieve a key objective laid down in the Farm to Fork Strategy and Biodiversity Strategy: reach 25% of agricultural land under organic farming and significantly increase organic aquaculture by 2030". Indeed, while organic aquaculture production is a relatively new sector, it has significant potential for growth.
