Support InnovaFeed in its next level innovation and industrial deployment across Europe (InnovaFeed BEW 2019)

InnovaFeed BEW 2019 is a three-year project funded by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF), aimed at developing insect protein as an attractive alternative to fish meals.

Tangible results: InnovaFeed is producing and deploying insect protein as an alternative to fish meals. With this project, the company is optimising the industrial deployment and production processes of its product, as well as its marketing and communication strategies.


Application/relevance: Insect protein is an attractive alternative to fish meals since it recycles low value-added by-product; produces a high-value quality protein adapted to fish’s nutritional need and corresponding to one of their sources of protein in the wild; and decreases carbon emissions compared to current fish feed alternatives.
